On behalf of the entire Unemployment Benefits Assistance Program team, we wish you the best of success with your re-introduction into the workplace.

Before you dive into the guide, please complete the following, right now:

  • Locate your Seperation Paperwork that your employer provided you. If you did not get one, please call them and get it. Review this. If you had health benefits before, you will have an option to extend your health insurance until you are re-employed.
  • List the names of any contacts from your last job who know you, like you, and respect your skills and/or talents. These people may be able to help you get quickly re-employed. It is easy to lose touch with these people, and they can be a tremendous help by looking out for jobs, talking you up to potential employers, and providing emotional stability through a transitional period.
  • Let these people know how to contact you. Email them your home phone and let them know you want to keep in touch, and would like their help finding a new position.
